We came up through the dealer side of this industry. We spent years selling and servicing shuttle buses, and year after year we watched the same problems strand the same customers: floors that rotted, seams that leaked, structure that rusted from the inside, wiring shorts buried in the walls. Eventually we stopped waiting for somebody else to fix it and built the bus ourselves.
Our leadership team brings over 100 years of collective experience in buses. That experience shows up in specific decisions: powder coat on every structural component, a one-piece sidewall with no floor-line seam, a resin-infused subfloor with a 7-year warranty, harnesses built in-house with marine-grade connectors, and a rain booth plus road test that every single bus passes before delivery.
We're an independent builder, and we're deliberately not a volume line. Every bus is built on its chassis, station by station, signed off department by department.
Mark Sebast — Chief Executive Officer. Mark has spent his career in the bus business, on the dealer side and now the manufacturing side. HLE exists because he got tired of selling buses that failed his customers.
Eric Sebast — President. Eric came up through bus dealerships and brings the customer's-side view to every build decision: what breaks, what it costs to own, and what keeps a fleet on the road.
Brandon Maynard — General Manager. Brandon runs the factory — and designed the HLE bus. Every differentiator on this site is a decision he made to kill a failure he'd watched strand customers.
